An Eastvale residence converted to an indoor, illegal marijuana grow operation was searched by Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies, who found $1 million worth of marijuana and ongoing utility theft resulting in the loss of about $145,000, the department announced.
According to the sheriff’s department, deputies from the Jurupa Valley station and Eastvale special enforcement team seized over 2,000 plants at the residence on the 6700 block of Leanne Street, near the 15 Freeway, in Eastvale on Wednesday.
The street value of these plants is roughly $1 million, according to the sheriff’s department.
Code enforcement also discovered multiple building code violations at the residence, the sheriff’s department said.
Authorities were looking to identify suspects involved with the operation and ask anyone with information to contact Deputy Guerrero at the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at 951-955–2600.
