1. Driving under the influence can be a felony even for a first offense with a law change that recently took effect in Oklahoma. For an aggravated DUI, drivers would have a blood alcohol content higher than 0.15% in addition to at least one other factor such as causing a crash or eluding law enforcement. Driving while impaired because of marijuana use also is illegal, but some are concerned that licensed medical marijuana patients could be running afoul of the new DUI law even without consuming cannabis for weeks prior to getting behind the wheel.
