OCEAN VIEW, Hawaii (Island News) – Hawaii Island police are delving into a substantial marijuana cultivation operation after a search warrant was executed in the Hawaiian Oceanview Estates subdivision on December 17, 2025.
Officers from the Hawaii Police Department’s Vice Division, with assistance from Ka’u Patrol, uncovered 397 marijuana plants, 364 pounds of processed marijuana, and nearly 20,000 grams of marijuana concentrate during their search of an unoccupied residence on Jasmine Drive. They also found 1.2 grams of cocaine and four firearms. The street value of the seized narcotics is estimated at more than $1.4 million.
Hawaii Island Police are investigating a major marijuana growing operation in Ocean View, with over $1.4 million in drugs and firearms discovered.
Authorities also seized over $14,600 in cash, a Ford Powerstroke F-350 truck valued at $40,000 and a Honda utility vehicle valued at $16,000 for forfeiture.
