ATLANTA, Ga. — Forty people were arrested in a “marijuana pop-up event” in Atlanta, according to the city’s police department.
Dubbed “Operation No Smoke,” police said the operation busted the event at a warehouse on the 200 block of Ted Turner Drive SW last Saturday.
During the operation, more than 1,200 pounds of marijuana, over 300 pounds of edibles, 29 pounds of mushrooms and over $30,000 in cash were all seized.
Police said more than 60 people were detained and 40 people were arrested.
Fifteen guns were also taken.
Police said when officers were searching the warehouse, many people ran away, throwing guns and “bags of drugs” on the ground.
