BREWTON, Ala. (WKRC) — A mother has been accused of placing marijuana inside candy bags distributed at a kindergarten Christmas party.
According to an exclusive report from WALA, 26-year-old Karima Frasier was taken into custody after a parent discovered what appeared to be marijuana inside their child’s candy bag following a kindergarten Christmas party held on December 18.
The incident occurred during a Christmas party at Brewton Elementary School in Brewton, Alabama, WALA reported. The investigation began after a parent contacted school officials upon noticing what appeared to be marijuana inside their child’s party bag.
Police launched an investigation and collected four candy bags as evidence, according to the outlet.
Investigators determined that “numerous clear bags containing various sorts of candy with marijuana shake inside the bags were given to kids,” WALA reported.

WALA reported that Frasier was issued a $300,000 bond. Brewton City Schools Superintendent Kevin Wiessman told the outlet he is thankful the students are safe and also thanked police for their quick response.
