Both locations plan on having a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting once open.
REDMOND, Ore. — The City of Redmond expects its first marijuana dispensary to be up and running by the end of the year. Two dispensaries — Oregrown and The Flower Room — have been given the green light to open up shops in Redmond.
Oregrown will be located in a strip mall at 2127 U.S. Highway 97 on the South side near Motel 6 and Wilco. Owners hope to have a soft opening mid-December.
“Redmond has been something we’ve been interested in for a long time,” said Dusty Newman, general manager of the Oregrown Bend location. “The fact that we get to be the first shop is a huge blessing. And, you know, we don’t take it lightly. And we have hope to do everybody proud.”
Flower Room will be on the north side of town close to Home Depot and Surf Thru car wash. It hopes to open in June 2026.
“By having a Redmond location, I think it just extends our reach to the communities that are a bit north of here,” said Flower Room owner Alex Eakin, “And they can still get the same services that you expect from the flower room, the same products that you get from the flower room, but we’ll have a more convenient location.”
Eakin says it will be in the same building as Cheba Hut “Toasted” Subs.”
“We plan to have a very friendly place that everyone wants to go,” said Eakins. “You can go get a sandwich. You can stop in Cheba Hut, but then also make it convenient for you to be able to come over to the flower room.”
The City of Redmond approved two marijuana dispensaries in April and voted to allow dispensaries to operate within the city limits.
