Trulieve Cannabis Corp. increased spending on federal lobbying in the months leading up to the Trump administration’s action this week to reclassify state-regulated marijuana as a less dangerous drug.
Trulieve spent $300,000, the most it ever had on lobbying, in the first quarter, making its case to the Executive Office of President Donald Trump and to lawmakers in the Senate and House, the company disclosed this week.
