COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Columbia Police Department said its Vice and Narcotics Division seized three pounds of drugs, cash and other drug paraphernalia during a search warrant Thursday.
The Vice and Narcotics Division executed a search warrant at a home Thursday along with CPD’s Criminal Investigations, Patrol and Support Services divisions.
During the search, CPD said officers located and seized about two pounds of cocaine (powder and crack) and one pound of marijuana. Photos of the items seized also show scales, baggies and a large amount of cash.
CPD said officers arrested a convicted drug dealer in connection to the search. They did not share his name or charges.
“I am extremely proud of the efforts and results from this investigation and of the cooperation and teamwork that went into removing these drugs from our streets and holding the individual responsible for selling them in our city accountable. Our message is clear, if you choose to sell drugs in our city we look forward to paying you a visit and holding you accountable for your actions,” CPD Chief Jeremy Haywood said.
