MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A drug investigation in Martin County led deputies to a home in Tomahawk, where investigators say they found marijuana, cash and multiple guns.
According to court documents, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a home on Gayle Carter Road after a traffic stop earlier that day.
Investigators say marijuana was found during that stop, and the person involved later gave a written statement claiming they bought “weed” from Tyler Harrison Harless at that address.
Deputies also noted they had received prior tips alleging illegal drugs were being sold from the home.
The warrant authorized deputies to search the home, vehicles on the property and people who were there, and to seize items tied to suspected drug activity, including phones, money, drugs and weapons.
In the return filed with the warrant, deputies listed multiple items seized, including suspected drugs and several firearms.
Another document cited a cash amount of more than $13,000 and a reported marijuana weight of more than 12 ounces.
Harless was charged with marijuana trafficking and drug paraphernalia.
He was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
