Semi driver arrested on Interstate 70 after ISP finds marijuana – WTHI-TV
CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – An Indianapolis man is arrested after a state trooper found marijuana while assisting an Interstate driver.
It happened Sunday morning around 8:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 near mile marker 28.
Indiana State Police said the driver, Anthony R. Brown, 42, of Indianapolis, was along the road with a disabled semi. ISP said he was removed from the truck after the state trooper detected criminal activity, and a search was performed.
Police said nearly ten pounds of marijuana were found along with various packaging materials. Brown was taken to the Clay County Jail on possession of marijuana, resisting law enforcement and dealing a controlled substance charges.
