TWIGGS COUNTY, Ga (WGXA) — A traffic stop for a lane violation in Twiggs County led to the arrest of a man after deputies discovered methamphetamine and marijuana inside his vehicle.
According to the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office, deputies observed a Ford Escape failing to maintain its lane near Riggins Mill Road.

After initiating a traffic stop, deputies detected the odor of marijuana and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle.
Deputies located syringes, methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana inside a bag.
The suspect claimed ownership of the illegal narcotics and was therefore arrested and transported to the Twiggs County jail.
"Friendly reminder: If you're thinking about bringing drugs into Twiggs County, you might want to reconsider. Our deputies are out working every day, and the only thing you'll be taking home is a court date," Said the Twiggs County Sheriff's Office.
