Six suspects are facing charges in connection with a massive drug trafficking enterprise based in South Florida, authorities said Friday.
The charges follow an investigation by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the FBI and the Office of Statewide Prosecution.

According to the Florida Attorney General’s Office, the suspects obtained and distributed kilogram quantities of cocaine, multiple pounds of marijuana, prescription pills, and other narcotics.
They also converted powdered cocaine into crack cocaine and used vehicles with hidden compartments to transport the drugs, authorities said.
Two of the suspects would then launder drug proceeds by purchasing vehicles, real estate, investing in business ventures, restoring classic cars, and buying jewelry, officials said.
All six men were arrested this week and booked into Broward’s Main Jail, records showed.
Suspects Isaac Lakeith Bruton and Omar Dwayne Cooper are facing charges of racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering and money laundering.
Wayne Morgan Brutton Jr., Wayne Morgan Brutton Sr., Rene Danger Jr., and Cleon Fabian Reid are charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.
If convicted, Bruton and Cooper face up to 75 years and Brutton Jr., Brutton Sr., Danger Jr. and Reid face up to 60 years in prison.
“This joint investigation dismantled a criminal enterprise that pumped dangerous drugs into Florida communities,” Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said in a statement Friday. “Through the tireless work of the Office of Statewide Prosecution and our great law enforcement partners, we are taking on more criminal prosecutions than ever before.”
