SHELDON—A Primghar couple was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop about 3:35 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, in Sheldon.
The arrest of 55-year-old Aaron Lee Kilts and 55-year-old Tracey Lee Kilts stemmed from the stop of a 2001 GMC Yukon for speeding and an equipment violation on Highway 18/Park Street near 21st Avenue in Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
K-9 Balin indicated the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle in which the two were passengers.
Police located methamphetamine, marijuana, a THC vape and THC wax in a mug in the backseat in front of Aaron Kilts.
A bag of methamphetamine was found in Tracey Kilts’ wallet, and a THC vape pen was found in her purse.
Aaron Kilts was charged with possession of controlled substance — methamphetamine — third or subsequent offense, possession of controlled substance — marijuana — third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Tracey Kilts was charged with first-offense possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine, first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
