A Del City dispensary has been shut down by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) after a site visit by inspectors.
OMMA issued an emergency order suspending Big Cheef Dispensary LLC's operations, effective immediately.
OMMA said that during a site visit on Tuesday, compliance inspectors identified and embargoed several packages of medical marijuana products that were inaccurately reported or unaccounted for.
"All OMMA-licensed businesses are mandated by law to utilize the state inventory tracking system to track the marijuana they grow, process and/or sell. This ensures that all marijuana is traceable in the regulated marketplace from the time it is planted to the time it is sold in a dispensary," according to OMMA.
"All marijuana products on the premises have been placed under administrative embargo. Big Cheef Dispensary LLC is prohibited from cultivating, moving or selling any medical marijuana products while the suspension is in effect."
