LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – Arkansans spent more than $291 million on medical marijuana in 2025, setting a new annual record.
Last year’s sales surpassed the $283 million record set in 2023, according to the Department of Finance and Administration.
“More than $1.6 billion has been spent at the state’s dispensaries since the industry launched in 2019,” said Scott Hardin, Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration spokesperson. “The industry certainly rebounded in 2025 with a new sales record, following a decrease in sales the previous year.”
Medical marijuana sales also generated $32.3 million in state sales taxes.
Arkansas dispensaries sold 79,223 pounds of medical marijuana last year.
TOTAL MEDICAL MARIJUANA SALES FOR DECEMBER 2025: Patients spent $25,749,031 in December, purchasing 7,009 pounds.
Combined, this is 7,009 pounds sold in December.
