Man arrested after police find 17 marijuana plants growing in basement – WFIE | 14 News

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) – Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after officers found multiple marijuana plants growing in his home.
Police say a liquor store made a shoplifting complaint, and they later identified the suspect as Daniel Ipock.
When the went to his house on Mitchell Drive, police say they could smell marijuana.
Officers say Ipock refused to let them search, so they got a warrant.
Police say that led to finding marijuana growing inside the basement.
They say officers found approximately 17 marijuana plants, along with a significant amount of loose marijuana.
Officers say they also located multiple firearms and drug paraphernalia items inside the home.
A substantial amount of US currency was located and seized, along with a digital scale, all in the area around the marijuana.
Officers also located a large amount of prescription pills in a bottle with no label and scattered throughout the residence.
Police say officers arrested Daniel Ipock and booked him into the Hopkins County Detention Center.
He faces the following charges:
