GRAND COULEE – A 51-year-old Grand Coulee man is facing multiple felony charges after Douglas County deputies say he operated an illegal marijuana grow and offered cannabis to several teenagers.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched around 7:05 p.m. on Jan. 24, 2026, to the area of Crown Point Vista Road and State Route 174 for a drug-related complaint.
The reporting party told deputies they believed a homeowner in the area was operating a marijuana grow on their property and had attempted to provide marijuana to their teenage child.
Through continued investigative efforts, deputies learned that up to four different teenagers had allegedly been offered marijuana by the homeowner. Investigators also developed information suggesting an illegal marijuana grow and distribution operation was taking place.
Deputies determined the suspected activity was occurring at a residence in the 1500 block of State Route 174 in Grand Coulee. The suspect was identified as Jayson M. Lows, 51, of Grand Coulee.
After developing probable cause, deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. On Feb. 11, 2026, deputies executed the warrant. Lows was arrested without incident, and evidence related to the alleged marijuana grow operation was seized.
Lows was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on the following charges:
Distribution to Persons Under Age Eighteen (two counts)
Manufacture, Deliver, or Possess with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled Substance
Cannabis Manufacture, Sale, Distribution without a License
Deputies also referred a review of possible charges for a second individual to the Douglas County Prosecutor’s Office.
The investigation remains ongoing.
