SHELDON—A 27-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 11:40 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, on charges of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The arrest of Elias Khronic Heredia stemmed from the stop of a 2008 Honda Civic in which he was a passenger on the 900 block of Second Avenue in Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
The odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle, and Heredia admitted he had THC.
Heredia handed the officer two vaping devices and a small jar with THC wax in it, according to the incident report.
