Florida has over 600 marijuana dispensaries. Here's where to find them in the Daytona area – Daytona Beach News-Journal

Since Florida legalized medical marijuana in 2016, the industry has shown signs of continued growth.
There are currently more than 600 medical marijuana dispensaries statewide — many from companies that have established their brand in this market, such as Trulieve, MÜV, Curaleaf and others.
Access to medical marijuana products is still regulated and has faced changes over the years.
The question of whether Floridians want to legalize recreational marijuana use could appear on the 2024 ballot.
But for Volusia and Flagler county residents who are looking for a medicinal marijuana product, there are several local dispensaries to choose from.
Here is where to find medical marijuana in the Daytona Beach and Flagler County areas, and what you need to do to get a prescription.
Medical marijuana dispensaries must be authorized to sell their products by the Office of Medical Marijuana Use.
After they receive the license and are recognized as a medical marijuana treatment center (MMTC), then they can dispense “low-THC cannabis and medical marijuana to qualified patients and caregivers as recommended by their qualified ordering physician at approved dispensing locations and via delivery,” according to OMMU.
“Medical marijuana is dispensed in milligrams of active ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and low-THC cannabis is dispensed in milligrams of active ingredient cannabidiol (CBD).”
At dispensaries, the substance is sold in pre-rolled joints, vape devices, concentrates, edibles and other types of products.
In order to purchase medical marijuana products from dispensaries, patients must first register with the state’s Medical Marijuana Registry and obtain a medical marijuana ID card.
But before “issuing an initial certification to a patient, the qualified physician must conduct an in-person physical examination of the patient,” according to the state health department.
