Oklahoma authorities seize 1,392 illegal marijuana plants in Sulphur, 214 pounds of processed – The Killeen Daily Herald

SULPHUR, Oklahoma — Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) agents executed a search warrant at Fortune Family Inc. on February 18, 2026, uncovering illegal marijuana cultivation.
The OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET) discovered that the business was growing marijuana without the necessary OBN Registration or OMMA License. Agents seized 1,392 marijuana plants and 214 pounds of processed marijuana, according to a press release from the OBN. Arrests are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
The operation was supported by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, and the Murray County Commissioner’s Office.
In 2021, the OBN established full-time statewide Marijuana Enforcement Teams to combat the rise of criminal organizations setting up marijuana operations in Oklahoma. These teams have targeted operations linked to black market trafficking and fraudulent OBN Registration through ‘straw ownership’ schemes. By the end of 2022, 8,400 farms were operating with an active OBN Registration, a number that has since decreased to less than 1,500.
Since 2022, OBN MET agents have seized over 2.1 million illegal marijuana plants, more than 250,000 pounds of processed marijuana, and made over 400 arrests, with additional arrests pending as investigations continue.
