A High Point man was arrested last week and found to have more than 11 pounds of marijuana, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said.
In a collaborative investigation with the Forsyth County Drug Task Force, investigators with the Davidson Anti-Drug Regional Task Force conducted a traffic stop Feb. 17 of a passenger vehicle on Fisher Ferry Street near West Main Street in Thomasville.
A subsequent search of the vehicle found a package containing 5,320 grams, or more than 11.7 pounds, of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $100,000, the sheriff’s office said.
Lajarvis Quinn Shankle, 34, of Rosecrest Drive was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana and one count of felony larceny. The latter charge involves the theft of a UPS package from a residence in Thomasville, according to the arrest warrant.
