PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) -A New Hampshire man was found guilty Monday of possessing more than 20 grams of marijuana following a felony traffic stop in Bay County, State Attorney Larry Basford said.
Daniel Paul Sansone, 26, was convicted after a jury rejected his claim that the car was borrowed and the marijuana was not his. Judge Shonna Young Gay set sentencing for April 10.
Deputies said the case began the night of July 22, 2024, after a report that Sansone had threatened violence against a woman and was headed toward her location. About four hours later, around 2 a.m., deputies spotted his vehicle and conducted a felony stop.
While being detained, Sansone told deputies there was no gun in the car but admitted marijuana was inside. Deputies found the drugs.
