Dispensary count tops 750 for the first time as THC sales near 6 billion milligrams

Florida’s medical marijuana market continued its strong performance in 2026, with the state’s dispensaries selling nearly 440 million milligrams of THC and over 149,000 ounces of smokable marijuana in a single week. This brings the year-to-date totals to nearly 6 billion milligrams of THC and over 2 million ounces of smokable marijuana sold. The number of active dispensaries in the state also reached a new milestone, surpassing 750 for the first time.
Florida’s rapidly growing medical marijuana industry reflects the increasing acceptance and demand for cannabis-based treatments in the state. The continued expansion of dispensaries and record-breaking sales figures demonstrate the significant economic impact of the medical marijuana program, as well as the state’s commitment to providing patients with safe and reliable access to these products.
According to the latest data from the Office of Medical Marijuana Use, Florida dispensaries sold 439,815,049 milligrams of THC and 149,389.938 ounces of smokable marijuana during the reporting period covering April 3 through April 9, 2026. This brings the state’s year-to-date totals to 5,946,524,061 milligrams of THC and 2,016,974.665 ounces of smokable marijuana. The report also shows that Florida now has 752 dispensaries open statewide, marking the first time the state has had more than 750 active dispensing locations.
