ATLANTA — An Atlanta woman is facing a felony drug charge after authorities say a large amount of suspected marijuana was found inside a home during an eviction in south Fulton County.
According to an arrest warrant, investigators say the drugs were discovered early April 14 while workers carried out a court-ordered eviction at a residence in the 5200 block of Cantbury Way.
Officials say Carlecia Arnold is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, a felony.
The warrant states that law enforcement officers were present as an eviction crew was removing property from the home.
During that process, workers reportedly discovered 11 moving boxes containing what investigators described as suspected marijuana.
Authorities estimated the total weight of the marijuana to be between 100 and 200 pounds, according to the affidavit.
Investigators said the boxes measured about 2 feet by 2 feet and were located inside the residence.
There were three men at the home, but they left before the boxes were discovered.
