Very little is known about Middelburg’s cannabis culture; but it’s prevalent, and growing.
April 20 is unofficial World Cannabis Day and dispensaries are celebrating the blunt with various deals, like Green Hashish, one local cannabis dispensary that will not only celebrate 4/20 a little earlier with a raffle draw on April 18 (Saturday).
Green Hashish was Mpumalanga’s first medical marijuana dispensary, with people travelling from all over the province to Middelburg for the herb.
The raffle and other pot luck draws, excuse the pun, will showcase one of Mpumalanga’s finest growers, Jo Marley.
Cannabis has a wide array of applications, like THC products for issues like anxiety and sleeplessness, and CBD products for health benefits for humans and pets.
Simply put, THC gets you high, while CBD (without THC) does not.
Studies have shown that cannabis products have positive post-rehabilitation qualities that can prevent relapse.
Serious cannabis users are also less likely to abuse alcohol.
THC products vary from pre-rolled joints to gummies, hot chocolate, and even biltong.
Yes, you read correctly; THC infused biltong.
For R50 a raffle ticket, one lucky local still has a few hours to win cannabis for a full year, with the raffle and draw closing on Saturday.
Green Hashish agreed to the interview due to its commitment to advocating not only the ganja’s health benefits, but responsible use for over 21’s.
