Marijuana dispensary proposed for Eastern Blvd Plaza in Watertown – WWNY
WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) – The plaza off of Eastern Boulevard in Watertown could be home to the city’s first marijuana dispensary.
According to the Watertown Planning Committee agenda, Kimberly Parker of Yesca, LLC, is requesting a special use permit to open the dispensary in the plaza.
The application was submitted just over a week ago.
City planning officials say the plaza is zoned as commercial, and according to city guidelines, dispensaries are allowed in the commercial zoning district.
A hearing will be held at a January 6th meeting. It is likely that commission members will vote on the request then.
