Arkansas medical marijuana sales climbed about 5.5% to a record $291.1 million in 2025, the state Department of Finance & Administration (DFA) reported.
The previous annual record of $283 million was set in 2023.
Dispensaries across Arkansas sold 79,223 pounds of medical marijuana in 2025, an increase of 4.8% from 75,598 pounds in 2024.
More than $1.6 billion has been spent at dispensaries in the state since the industry launched in 2019.
The two state taxes that apply to medical marijuana generated $32.3 million in 2025., the department reported. The 6.5% state sales tax applies to each purchase patients make at a dispensary. The 4% privilege tax also applies to purchases made at dispensaries, and when a cultivator sells product to a dispensary.
Suite 443 of Hot Springs was the top-selling dispensary. The business sold 727.45 pounds of medical marijuana in November and 731.15 pounds of medical marijuana in December.
The Arkansas Department of Health reported 115,113 active medical marijuana patient cards.
