This is a crime wrap-up for Dec. 21 to Jan. 4.
Criminal mischief
On Dec. 21, two students reported damage to their vehicle while it was parked, UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said in an email.
Criminal mischief with a pecuniary loss between $100 and $750 is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail for up to 180 days or both.
The case is still active.
Possession of marijuana
On Dec. 23, an officer made contact with an unaffiliated person, who was found to be in possession of marijuana, McCord said. He was arrested and transported to Arlington Police Department jail.
Possession of marijuana of two ounces or less is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both.
Criminal trespass at an institution of higher education
On Dec. 24, officers arrested an unaffiliated person who was on campus property in violation of an existing criminal trespass warning, McCord said. He was transported to Arlington Police Department jail.
Criminal trespass at an institution of higher education with a previous conviction is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both.
The case is still active.
Criminal mischief and theft
On Dec. 31, a student reported mustard that was smeared on the door to their apartment, McCord said.
Criminal mischief of under $100 is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.
Theft under $100 is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine of no more than $500.
The case is still active.
Theft
On Jan. 4, a student reported the theft of a package, McCord said.
Theft under $100 a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine of no more than $500.
The case is still active.
