DPS seizes 79 pounds of marijuana in McLennan County – kcentv.com

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — Two people have been arrested in McLennan County after the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) seized nearly 80 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.
Texas DPS shared on Thursday, Jan. 15 that troopers had made a stop for a traffic violation on IH-35 southbound in McLennan County.
During the stop, troopers, with the help of a K9, reportedly seized 79 pounds of marijuana.
Two people were arrested and charged with felony delivery of marijuana, according to DPS. Both suspects were reportedly booked into the McLennan County Jail.
“Strong work by our Troopers and K9,” DPS said in a post on social media.
