Louisville's 1st medical marijuana dispensary opens this weekend – WLKY
Medical cannabis will soon be available in Louisville.
The city’s first medical marijuana dispensary is opening this weekend.
The dispensary, Kentucky Alternative Care, will be in the Highlands, located at 2401-B Bardstown Road close to the Kroger.
It officially opens Saturday at 8 a.m., closing at 8 p.m.
This dispensary was founded by Dr. Su Kang and Dustin Stanley. They say this dispensary uses a “patient-guided model.”
“Our goal is to provide safe, effective, and premium medical cannabis in an environment patients can trust,” Kang said. “This is a new program for Kentucky, and we built Kentucky Alternative Care to prioritize education, clarity, and compassionate support so patients can make informed decisions about their care.”
This dispensary will be one of the first few in the state.
