A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a man accused of being in possession of marijuana while living in a house near a church.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Nicholas Bondon, 34, with possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, unauthorized use of property to facilitate a crime and distribution near certain facilities.
According to an affidavit from Detective Jarrel Johnson, police Vice and Narcotics officers, assisted by the Tri-County Drug Task Force served a drug related search warrant at 4101 W. Burnett St. at 11:36 a.m. Monday.
The officers also searched a vehicle parked in the driveway.

He was told to come back to court Feb. 23.
