Police say two children were left home alone with access to illegal drugs in Jeffersonville and now one person is facing charges.
The Jeffersonville Police Department was called to the Eastlawn Arms Apartments on Jan. 4 for a drug investigation.
Police said someone was doing a welfare check on two young children when they found illegal drugs inside the apartment. The children were also left at the apartment alone, police said.
When officers executed a search warrant, they recovered eight handguns, two with automatic switches, around 138 grams of cocaine, 172 grams of marijuana, and other evidence.
