Portland man faces multiple charges after dispensary robbery, deputy attack – KPTV

WASHINGTON COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is looking for witnesses and victims after a man was arrested on Wednesday evening for a marijuana dispensary robbery.
WCSO said the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Efrain Alaniz-Garcia of Portland, allegedly robbed a dispensary on Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway near Southwest 62nd Avenue in Multnomah County at about 6:30 p.m.
Alaniz-Garcia then allegedly ran away on foot, heading toward unincorporated Washington County.
Just before 7 p.m., multiple people in Washington County reported a man waving down cars on Southwest Oleson Road and trying to get into at least one car. WCSO said the man’s description matched the earlier robbery suspect.
Deputies were sent to the area and found Alaniz-Garcia. However, WCSO said he allegedly tried to attack the deputies, and one officer suffered minor injuries.
Alaniz-Garcia was also hurt and given a medical evaluation before being booked into jail, WCSO said.
Alaniz-Garcia faces the following charges:
Detectives are asking anyone who was a witness and has not spoken with police to contact them, along with any victims whose cars were damaged or that Alaniz-Garcia tried to get into.
