Two adults, one juvenile allegedly stole from Jefferson County marijuana dispensaries – Leader Publications
Two St. Louis residents and a juvenile allegedly burglarized three marijuana dispensaries in Jefferson County. The three allegedly stole from one of the dispensaries twice, according to court documents.
Lamarion Markwick, 19, and Patty Ridener, 37, have both been charged with four counts of second-degree felony burglary, felony organized retail theft and conspiracy to commit a felony. Ridener was charged on Jan. 16, and Markwick was charged on Jan. 21, court records show.
Information about the juvenile and charges were not available.
As of Monday, Feb. 9, Ridener was being held on a $25,000 bond and Markwick was being held on a $50,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court documents said.
According to the case’s probable-cause statement, Markwick, Ridener and the juvenile worked together between Jan. 1 through Jan. 16 to steal more than $10,000 from the dispensaries. The three also allegedly caused approximately $900 worth of property damage.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported the three stole from California Opulence locations in Imperial, 5436 Old Hwy. 21, and Dittmer, 7742 Hwy. 30, on Jan. 1. They also stole from California Opulence in Festus, 2335 Hwy. 61, on Jan. 6, and they stole from the Dittmer store again on Jan. 16.
Ridener was arrested on Jan. 16 after the alleged burglary in Dittmer. She was stopped while driving a 2018 Ford Escape, which was allegedly seen at all four burglaries, according to the case’s probable-cause statement.
Ridener allegedly admitted to working with others to coordinate the burglaries, the report said.
Markwick was arrested on Jan. 22. He was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of three of the burglaries, and the monitor allegedly was detected with a mile and a half of each store at the time of the burglaries, the case’s probable-cause statement said.
Markwick also was allegedly seen in surveillance video meeting with Ridener and the juvenile following the burglaries, the report said.
