Virginia Cannabis Control Authority launches medical cannabis dashboard – WHSV

RICHMOND, Va. (WHSV) – While legislators are pushing for bills to establish framework for creating a retail marijuana market, the Virginia Cannabis Control Authority has launched a new data-driven dashboard, giving the public a look at the commonwealth’s medical cannabis program.
The dashboard is now live on the agency’s website, and tracks data from Virginia’s seed-to-sale tracking system. Jessica Fullerton, CCA’s communications officer, said the tool is designed to support transparency and help patients, providers and policymakers make more informed decisions.
“This dashboard is for everyone. … It just offers any Virginian who wants a clearer picture of the medical cannabis program,” Fullerton said. “It gives them a chance to see some of the data that’s coming out of that program. And really, the goal is simple as transparency. We want to make the Virginia Medical Cannabis program as accessible and easy to understand as possible.“
Fullerton said the dashboard shows key metrics including total medical cannabis sales, average price per gram of flower, sales by product type and the number of plants harvested.
