A man wanted in connection with a large marijuana growing operation in the Ka‘ū District was arrested and charged.
Jordin Trevena-Garon, 42, of Ocean View, was charged on Monday with the following offenses:
Charges stem from a search warrant, executed by officers with the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s Vice Division, assisted by Ka‘ū Patrol, on an Ocean View residence, located on the 92-8600 block of Jasmine Drive, on Dec. 17, 2025, where approximately 397 marijuana plants, 364 pounds of processed marijuana, 19,814 grams of marijuana concentrate, 1.2 grams of cocaine, and four firearms were found.
The estimated street value of the recovered narcotics is $1,437,630, according to a news release from Hawai‘i Island police. Also seized for forfeiture were more than $14,600 in U.S. currency, a white 2000 Ford Power stroke F-350 truck valued at $40,000, and a Honda utility vehicle valued at $16,000.
At the time the search warrant was executed, the residence was unoccupied. Trevena-Garon was identified as a suspect through the course of the investigation.
Trevena-Garon’s bail was set at $505,000. He remains in custody pending his initial court appearance today, Jan. 6, 2026.
