OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – 51 people have been charged as part of a federal drug trafficking indictment. An investigation uncovered an alleged conspiracy to manufacture black-market marijuana in nine states including Oklahoma.
28 suspects have been arrested, while 23 remain at-large. Search warrants were executed across Kansas, Michigan and Oklahoma, including in Stephens and Grady Counties.
Officials say around $61,000 marijuana plants and 550 kilograms of processed marijuana were seized by law enforcement. The indictment also seeks the forfeiture of properties located in Duncan, Chickasha and more than 15 other Oklahoma cities.
We can’t overstate the impact and importance of these types of operations. Since 2021, when our agency created Marijuana Enforcement Teams (MET), we’ve proudly worked alongside our federal and state partners to target criminal organizations operating in Oklahoma.
