HERKIMER — Approximately 70 pounds of marijuana and other drugs were seized from an apartment on Mohawk Street on Friday, Feb. 13, according to the Herkimer Police Department.
Police said they were called to investigate the apartment on Friday, Feb. 13 and they found 70 pounds of marijuana, assorted THC products, a large quantity of pills, mushrooms, packaging and shipping materials and roughly $46,000 in cash. Police said the apartment was linked to a man named Hunter Loccia, who was located and taken into custody in Johnstown in Fulton County on Feb. 19. Police said a large quantity of marijuana was also found in Johnstown, and that case is being handled by local authorities.
Hunter is charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and third- and fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, police stated. He was arraigned in court and was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in court.
