The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control has issued a product recall for cannabis gummies manufactured by a marijuana processing facility after discovering that the packaging for the product does not have a universal symbol showing that the product has THC in it.
The recall, issued Feb. 20, says that Ozone Soft Chews, cannabis gummies manufactured by Columbus-based Marichron Pharma, LLC, do not have a universal sticker to signify that the product has THC, according to a news release from the Division of Cannabis Control (DCC).
THC is the psychoactive compound that gives marijuana users a “high” sensation. Cannabis products are required to have that sticker for each serving, the DCC said.
Some of the flavors of the Ozone Soft Chews that lack the THC signifier include Blue Raspberry Restore, Blood Orange Balance, Grape Dream, and several other flavors. For a full list of the products and serial numbers, see the recall notice.
The DCC classified the product recall as a Class II, indicating there is a remote chance of adverse health consequences. A product recall was the “best course of action” out of concern that a child may consume the gummies by accident, the DCC said in the release.
The DCC says to watch for any Ozone Soft Chews product purchased between Sept. 14, 2025, and Feb. 17, 2026. The gummies were manufactured between Sept. 5, 2025, and Feb. 11, 2026, according to the DCC.
The gummies are sold at the Ascend Dispensary, according to the DCC. The dispensary has locations throughout Ohio in Carroll in Fairfield County as well as in Coshocton, Cincinnati, Piqua, Sandusky, and Englewood, the DCC said.
Anyone who consumes the affected gummies and begins experiencing any health effects should contact their health care provider, and report the event to the DCC at 1-833-464-6627.
