TOWNSEND, Del. – The Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) has arrested Mary Fischer-Solimeo of Townsend on a felony drug charge and related offenses following an investigation into illegal marijuana sales.
On May 13, DATE’s Marijuana Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at Blackbird Creek Farm on Union Church Road in Townsend. An investigation had determined the location was unlicensed by the Office of the Marijuana Commissioner and was allegedly selling and growing marijuana.
During their search, officers seized 60 pounds of marijuana and 32 marijuana plants.
Fischer-Solimeo was arraigned on the following charges and released on $10,100 bail.
The Delaware Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement remains committed to ensuring a safe, transparent, and well-regulated marijuana marketplace. While Delaware law permits the legal sale and cultivation of marijuana under strict licensing requirements, any individual or business operating outside of that framework is in violation of the law. DATE will continue to actively investigate and take enforcement action against unlicensed operations to protect public safety and uphold the integrity of the State’s regulated market.
