Three 22-year-old men from Minnesota have been charged with several felonies after 75 pounds of marijuana and 1 kilogram of liquid THC were found in their car, which was pulled over for speeding on Highway 50.
Jahrese Adeagbo, Keshawn Barber-Bates and Jermaine Walker have all been charged with possession of marijuana and THC with intent to deliver, as well as felony counts of possession of marijuana and THC.
On April 26, a deputy was patrolling on Highway 50 near Sun Dancer Court when he saw a gray Honda Pilot with Minnesota plates speeding north on Highway 50. It was clocked going 60 mph in a 55 mph zone.
The deputy turned around and caught up to the SUV, which continued to speed, going 54 mph in a 45 mph zone near Southern Drive. The SUV was pulled over just north of Force Road.
The driver, Jermaine Walker, said the car was rented through Toro, a company that allows people to rent their own vehicles out to other people through a phone app. He began searching for the rental agreement on his phone. The car had a faint odor of raw marijuana.
Walker and his passengers, Jahrese Adeagbo and Keshawn Barber-Bates, were asked to exit the car after a drug dog indicated on it. Walker was unable to provide any documentation for the vehicle.
In the trunk, police found two suitcases, two duffel bags and a large trash bag. Inside, there were large amounts of vacuum-sealed packages with marijuana. Each package weighed about 1 pound, and deputies estimated that there were 75 pounds of weed.
Two gold-colored lock cases labeled “Ace Ultra” were also found in the trunk and contained 100 unopened THC vapes each. Each vape contained 2 grams of THC liquid, and their THC content was listed at 90%. There were two boxes labeled “Muha Med,” one with 100 unopened THC vapes and one with 80 THC vapes. Each vape contained 2 grams of THC liquid and had a THC content between 85% and 90%.
Three more “Muha Med” boxes were found with 50 unopened THC vapes each, along with a “Lemonade” box with seven unopened vapes.
In total, there were 537 vape cartridges with a total of 1,074 grams of liquid THC.
There also were three boxes of THC wax. Each box had 16 jars, 1 ounce each, with THC wax. In total, there were 48 ounces of THC wax, with a THC content between 75% and 85%.
In the front passenger side door, near where Adeagbo was sitting, several THC vapes were found.
The three men were arrested.
