EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – An Evansville man is now under arrest, after police say, he was found to have meth and marijuana in his bedroom.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says that around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, detectives were sent out to the 1800 block of Belmar Lane on a search warrant. During the search, they found a digital scale in a dresser drawer, as well as a clear plastic bag containing a crystalline substance in the closet.
Authorities then applied for a warrant for the residence for dealing methamphetamine and they later found 40 packages of a waxlike substance. They say the packaging stated that it contained THCA with a net weight of 2 grams. The substance field tested positive for THC with a combined field weight of 80 grams.
The items were located on master bedroom couch: a clear plastic bag containing a crystalline substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Authorities also found other paraphernalia items, as well as THC oil, and two clear plastic bags containing a green leafy substance which field tested positive for THC.
Authorities say items that were found in the master bedroom belonged to 44-year-old Jason Kempf of Evansville. He was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of Dealing Methamphetamine and Dealing Marijuana, along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
