According to court documents, Elijah Davis was attempting to fly from PDX to Chicago with two suitcases filled with “green, leafy buds consistent with marijuana.”
Davis said he was taking the drugs to Chicago to “make money,” the court documents state.
The TSA said it flagged a carry-on bag because it appeared to have been tampered with, with the zippers glued shut.
Davis told law enforcement a second checked bag also contained marijuana.
He is facing multiple charges, including unlawful import or export of a marijuana item and unlawful delivery of a marijuana item.
Davis was arrested and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court June 1.
