FISHERS, Ind. (WKRC) – Authorities in Indiana located and seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana after taking a look at Snapchat profile page.
According to a statement, police in Fishers, Indiana seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana and thousands of THC products following a narcotics investigation that began on social media.
The investigation started in March 2026 when a detective with the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force identified a Snapchat profile allegedly advertising marijuana and THC products for sale, according to the Fishers Police Department.
The detective identified two suspects, Ian Heath and Brenden Grubb, and a vehicle believed to be involved in distributing narcotics. That information was shared with the department’s Crime Reduction Unit.
Detectives later located the vehicle traveling on Interstate 69 and observed multiple traffic violations before initiating a stop, police said. During the stop, a K-9 officer conducted an open-air sniff, and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics.
Heath and Grubb were detained without incident while officers searched the vehicle.
Police said the search uncovered about 211 pounds of marijuana, 5 pounds of pre-rolled marijuana products, 3,696 THC cartridges and a firearm.
Both men were preliminarily charged with dealing in marijuana involving at least 10 pounds, authorities said.
