A narcotics investigation in La Vergne led to an arrest after police said they seized about 1.5 pounds of marijuana, five firearms and suspected drug proceeds.
Investigators had been focused on a La Vergne resident suspected of distributing marijuana throughout Rutherford and Davidson counties when detectives noticed suspected drug transactions involving a Chevrolet Tahoe. Police worked with La Vergne Officer Chris Wolfe.
Police said they found more than 1 pound of marijuana, digital scales and empty baggies packaged for resale.
After the traffic stop, investigators obtained and began a search warrant at the suspect’s home. Police said the search resulted in the finding of more marijuana packaged for resale, drug paraphernalia, five firearms and about $1,140 in suspected drug proceeds.
The suspect was arrested on Friday, May 8 and charged with two counts of manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of Schedule VI; possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony; maintaining a dwelling for drug use; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
