LEESVILLE, La. (KPLC) – A Leesville man is behind bars after admitting to downloading child pornography and growing marijuana, deputies said.
Detectives searched the home of Joseph Meyer, 35, after getting a tip that he had been viewing and downloading child porn on a popular social media app, according to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.
While searching Meyers’ home, detectives found a marijuana grow tent in a dedicated room, according to VPSO. Narcotics Task Force agents took the grow operation into evidence.
Meyer admitted to downloading child porn and cultivating marijuana, according to VPSO. He was arrested on six counts of pornography involving juveniles, with additional charges expected.
Chincia Marlow, 36, was also arrested on charges of cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
Their bonds have not been set.
The investigation into Meyer is ongoing, and detectives are examining his electronic devices.
