KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WBTV) – More than 168 pounds of marijuana were found in a downtown Kings Mountain business, according to police.
Dustin Ray Spake was charged with trafficking marijuana and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle/place for controlled substances. More charges could be possible, police said.

Officers with the Kings Mountain Police Department searched Ole Skool Hemp at 243, 245 and 247 South Battleground Avenue on Feb. 19. There, they found an indoor marijuana growing operation with special lights, irrigation, ventilation systems, and fertilizers.
The business was licensed under the USDA hemp program, officers said, but what was sold at the business was allegedly altered and illegal.
Investigators found about 20 dried marijuana plants, 167.91 pounds of processed marijuana, and .57 pounds of marijuana byproduct.
Officers said they also found potential electrical and fire hazards in the building.
