BRISTOL, Va. (WSET) — More than 300 pounds of marijuana were recovered across the city of Bristol after local police, Virginia State Police and the Holston River Regional Drug Task Force executed search warrants throughout the area from May 1 through May 13.
The marijuana, along with plants and other THC products, had a street value of nearly $2 million, according to VSP.
On May 1, a search warrant was executed by the task force and Bristol Police Department at a business on Euclid Avenue. , where around three pounds of marijuana were seized, with a street value of $13,500. State police said the business was within a school zone and in the area of a childcare facility.

On May 6, a number of VSP divisions, along with HRRDTF, conducted another search warrant at a warehouse in the city, where 250 pounds of marijuana were discovered, with a street value of $1,135,000. Additionally, 192 marijuana plants, totaling around $576,000, and 50 pounds of THC edibles, totaling around $22,700, were seized. VSP said charges are forthcoming following that search warrant.
Two more search warrants were carried out on May 13, one at a business on West State Street and another at a business on Paulena Drive. Bristol Police and the drug task force uncovered approximately 25 pounds of marijuana with a street value of $112,500 at the first business. Additional evidence was also seized, according to VSP. At the second business, authorities seized approximately 30 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of $135,000, along with additional evidence.
VSP said the Office of the Attorney General is reviewing the investigation for any possible applicable civil enforcement actions.
