NORWALK — Two employees at a couple of local smoke shops were arrested last week after police found them in possession of unlicensed cannabis products, officials said. 
The violations were uncovered at Wally’s Convenience on Westport Avenue and Kings Tobacco and Vape Shop on Main Street, according to the Norwalk police Lt. Ramon Tejada.

Tejada said officers searched Wally’s on Tuesday as part of a narcotics investigation and found 4.15 pounds of cannabis products, including flower, vapes and gummies.
He said employee Emad Alawdi, 28, of Norwalk, was charged with possession with intent to sell cannabis, operation of a drug factory and possession of cannabis over the legal limit. Alawdi was held on a $50,000 bond and given a court date of May 26. 
Tejada said officers executed another search warrant at Kings Tobacco and Vape Shop on Thursday and seized 1.537 pounds of cannabis flower, vapes and gummies. 
Tejada said employee, Sari A. Saleh, 20, of Brooklyn, New York, was charged with possession with intent to sell cannabis and possession of cannabis over the legal limit. Saleh was held on a $1,00 bond and given a court date of May 27.
