The Dunlap Police Department says their officers arrested a Chattanooga man on drug charges after a traffic stop on Sunday, June 7.
Police say they pulled over a car that had malfunctioning tail lights in the area of the US 127/Hwy 111 on-ramp.
They arrested John Stephens after a “plain-view search” revealed 31.2 grams of a white crystal-type substance believed to be methamphetamine and approximately 4.7 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.
Now, he faces the following charges:
Felony possession of schedule II – methamphetamine
Simple possession of marijuana
Driving while in possession of methamphetamine
No further details are available.
